100% of your gifts go directly to the basic needs of individual elderly and orphans that are identified in crisis situations. Present needs include food, medical care, clothing, and basic home needs like beds, blankets etc.
Hope for Widows and Orphans of Uganda is 100% volunteer run. All donations go directly to supporting the families in need. We are also a 501c3 under the umbrella of Oromia Rural Health Initiative.

Many homes we encounter have no floor coverings so the children and elderly sleep on the dirt floor. This can often result in parasite infestations, which cause infections that can become life-threatening. We have partnered with 5 churches in 3 districts to help alleviate this problem. The women’s ministries in these churches have volunteered to make floor mats. They cut and dye palm leaves and weave them into snug, secure mats which prevent contact with the dirt floors. Your donation of $5 will prevent this tragic cycle and save lives.
They are 6 feet long and 3 feet wide, and dyed in vibrant colors. Women from local churches harvest the palm leaves to design these beautiful life saving mats. A 41 cent fee is added to the cost for online payment processing fees.
