June 11th – our first team meeting was held. Information in the team member packet was reviewed. We discussed timelines, deadlines and expectations for the team. Copies of the team member information packet, including application and waiver forms, were distributed. Team members, please forward all deposits, applications and waivers to team leaders Margaret Mason and Lisa Buettner.
Yellow fever vaccines can be obtained at several travel health clinics in the area The link on the right is for the St Louis Park Location. Travel clinics can also ensure you are up to date on Hepatitis A and B and tetanus vaccines as well. They can also provide advice specific to travel in Uganda. Proof of Yellow Fever vaccination is required to apply for a Visa for Uganda. At this time, there are no vaccination requirements for Covid vaccinations.
We will meet monthly until our departure. Departure date will be determined by August 1st. We need to be flexible by 1 day before or after our target of November 5th in case airfares are significantly higher on the 5th. Upcoming meetings will include distributing trunks to team members with packing instructions, training for the vision clinics and more itinerary information as plan become finalized. Please make every effort to be there.
All attendees of the meeting were given copies of our informational brochure. Please feel free to download, share and print copies for your friends, family and fellow church members.
