Hope for Widows and Orphans of Uganda continues to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus in Uganda thanks to the prayers and financial support of those obedient to James 1:27!
The picture above is of Ruth, who stays with her daughter (who has a mental ) and her two grandchildren. Their house is falling apart. With the help of a ministry supporter at FBC in Columbia, MS, they are now in a safe home. Thank you for providing the $15 a month rent for this them! Praise God
Another Wonderful Praise:
The Church of God in Monroe, MI welcomed Hope for Widows and Orphans of Uganda as Nikki Jackson shared about what the ministry has been able to accomplish with the poorest of the poor in this country. We were invited to share more so that they could prayerfully and financially support the widows and orphans in obedience to James 1:27.
Clean Water & Housing
On the left is a picture of the completed water project in Pastor Joseph’s area for Widow Ruth and her 10-year-old orphan (whom she carried daily for 2 miles to get water). She now has water next to her home to care for her disabled orphan thanks to the kindness of two HWOU faithful supporters!!!
Another widow (not pictured), whose name is Maria, also is praising the Lord for their new water system they were blessed with! She lives with her disabled grandson.
This elderly widow was thrown out of his mud brick hut and temporarily staying in another uncomplete hut with no doors or windows We pray an obedient brother or sister in the Lord would provide for his housing crisis for $15 a month!
Food
Pastor Michael (left), stays very busy in his area delivering rice, beans, Mutoki and fruit as well as giving widows and orphans in his church area their own New Testament.
Our elderly widows are always excited for the visits from HWOU and dance and sing praises to the Lord!!!
Health & Medication
Jane, who is HWOU nurse, faithfully checks on our widows and orphans regularly each month and treat them for any illness or pain they report!
Our elderly widows often suffer pain from advanced age and arthritis from having lived such hard lives with poor nutrition.
Nurse Jane is able to obtain medications to relieve their suffering but HWOU desperately needs our Christian brothers and sisters to donate for this critical need as the Lord has blessed us with so much!!!
Urgent needs include:
- obtaining emergency housing for displaced widows & orphans
- funds to obtain blankets for those sleeping under newspapers, cardboard and even leaves
Praying for those who will have a heart and support the widows who live in the poorest conditions in the world in pain from advancing age and disease that can be relieved by medications when our brothers and sisters provide who have been so blessed.
