Our Mission

In obedience to Scripture, Hope for Widows and Orphans of Uganda’s mission is to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus, to provide food, clothing and medical care to at-risk elderly and orphans by partnering with churches in Uganda.

Biblical Principle

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress….”

2025 Highlights

  • Donated a wheelchair and wagon to 2 disabled children with Cerebral Palsy
  • Developed plans to build major children’s project in Pastor Jennifer’s area
  • Built new housing for 2 widows in housing crisis
  • Provided 12 Vision clinics with evangelism outreach in local partner churches
  • Supplied school supplies for over 500 children and teachers in Uganda
  • Provided health care screenings for more than 400 children in church schools

Our 2026 Objectives

1) International/USA team initiative to Uganda  June 7-23, 2026

  • Provide eye clinics/glasses to the most needy
  • Evangelism in each area we serve
  • Serve with local pastors and partner churches to promote church growth
  • Encourage discipleship in the body of Christ
 

2) Begin construction of Sharon’s Village

PHASE I
  • Complete process for land transfer to Hope For Widows and Orphans of Uganda
  • Break ground to build main house and classrooms for Sharon’s Village
  • Obtain funding to to complete Phase 1
 
PHASE II
  • Complete kitchen facility for Sharon’s village.
  • Complete restrooms for new development
  • Obtain funding to complete Phase 2 in 2026
 
PHASE III
  •  Develop plan to continue development of Sharon’s Village per architect’s recommendations including building supplies, funding, any changes to initial building plans to improve or enhance project
