We are very excited to announce that we have finalized the purchase of a 1 acre lot near Mukono, Uganda.  This land will be used to build Sharon’s Village and will be serving widows and orphans in the region for years to come.  In 2024 Pastor Jennifer found a group of 12 young children wandering the streets.  HWOU put out an emergency alert and donors quickly came forward to buy bunk beds, bedding and provisions.  They were squeezed into a small room as a temporary home.  

Since then, we have been planning for a more permanent home for them.  This past year, God provided.  We obtained permission from  the regional chief to buy some land and proceed with construction of a multi-use facility.  We will have a dormitory and school for the children.  The school rooms will be available for church and community outreaches when school is not in session.  There will also be some small rooms used as emergency shelters.  We often find elderly people living alone in unsafe housing.  This facility will give them a place to stay until their home can be repaired or replaced.  There will be a home for the director.  And finally there will be a barn for some cows, goats and chickens, which the children will help care for, and will provide food for the residents as well.
