Team Meeting scheduled Aug 17
Hey team Please join us next Wednesday Aug 17 at MPCC at 11 am for an hour long meeting. We will go over updates, collect any forms and payments due, and discuss the vision clinic training. You will get your two trunks and we will go over packing info and pack toothpaste for each trunk.
Plans In Progress For Team Inititaive to Uganda
After a long delay due to Covid-SARS a team is organizing to bring vision screening and medical care to Uganda Plans In Progress for Team Initiative to Uganda. Click here for details 2018 team in Uganda After a long delay due to COVID-SARS, a team initiative is being planned for November 2022. A team of 9-10 will leave from the US bringing medical supplies and over 5000 pairs eyeglasses to conduct vision screenings and perform welfare checks and medical exams for our sponsored families. The team has secured lodging near Jinja, Uganda and procured transportation for the team for the two weeks they will be in Uganda. We will provide more updates as our plans progress. 2018 Team Initiative
In November 2018, a team of medical professionals and support staff began a two-week initiative to provide medical care in rural Uganda. Working alongside Prepare the Way Ministries, we were able to provide medical clinics in remote areas, at the Prepare the Way Orphanage and the surrounding villages. We participated in worship services, door-to-door evangelism and ministered in a prison. We traveled to Northern Uganda where Prepare the Way has established a ministry to refugees from Sudan. It was through this initiative that the urgent needs were discovered that led to the creation of Hope for Widows and Orphans of Uganda.
