In June of 2026, Hope For Widows and Orphans of Uganda will be sponsoring a team of health care professionals to come to Uganda to run mobile clinics in rural areas.  Our team will be comprised of members from around the US, Kenya and Uganda.  Team members typically fund their own expenses for travel and lodging. HWOU uses all donor money for the needs of those we serve.

These clinics are run in conjunction with local churches. HWOU has a strong network of churches in the Jinja and Mukono districts.  The churches provide space needed for the clinics, and serve as opportunities to evangelize and offer further ongoing assistance to local residents.  

These clinics are instrumental in reaching the lost.  Many who do not attend church regularly will come for a free clinic. The gospel is preached, and they are offered a free Bible and prayer for any needs they want to share. We have many great testimonies of people who are touched by the compassion and generosity they are shown.  Many have accepted Christ and become members of the church as a result.

Pastors and our medical staff do regular follow up visits in each church’s vicinity.  The visiting teams bring food and medical aid  and provide spiritual care.  It’s not uncommon to find disabled people living in dangerous living conditions.  We provide temporary housing and support repair and reconstruction of homes.
